TOP TEN Greatest Poker Accomplishments of All Time

1) Phil Hellmuth - Phil Hellmuth has a number of accomplishments. He has 10 WSOP bracelets (all in Texas Holdem). He has 58 money finishes in the WSOP, and that is more than any other player. He won the first annual NBC Heads up Championships against the best of the best. His 2006 WSOP results were just sick!

2) Stu Ungar - Stu Ungar won 3 WSOP main events, 2 back to back, and 5 Bracelets before his early death from an overdose. In the 12th annual WSOP he won 2 bracelets. In the 14th annual WSOP he won a seven card stud event and had a 2nd place in another 7card stud event. He won 3 Main events but made 4 final tables in the Main event. In the 21rst annual WSOP Main Event he made it to the Final table, but was blinded out becuase he overdosed and was in the hospital. Had he lived longer, he may have been ahead of Chan, Hellmuth, and Brunson for most Bracelets.

3) Johnny Chan - Johnny Chan is tied at this point in time with Phil Hellmuth and Doyle Brunson for most WSOP bracelets with 10. He won 2 back to back. Whats amazing is that the year after those he almost won his 3rd but lost to our number 1 spot Phil Hellmuth.

4) Doyle Brunson - Doyle also is tied with ten WSOP bracelets. What is amazing about Doyle is the fact that he is still playing at the highest level of poker in his seventies! He plays $4000/8000 blinds in the biggest cash game in the world. He also has a title in the WPT. He wrote the bible of poker Super System. In 2004 he ended a bad cash game year by taking down a 667 entry WPT event to win over 1 Million. In Dec. 2005 he Finished 3rd while getting into heated battle with the new face of Poker Patrik Antonius. To top it off, he made a Professional Poker Tour final table earlier in 2005!

5) Greg Raymer - In 2004 beat a field of 2576 entries to win $5,000,000. The following year, he made a miraculous deep run to 25th place of 5619 entries. What is amazing is that he had the chip lead and was going to surely make it to the Final Table, but Aaron Kanter (who has never been ahead in a hand in his life) sucked out on Greg's KK by calling with his flush draw for all his chips.

6) T.J. Cloutier- 6 Bracelets. He has $8,752,000 in all time tournament winings 7th on the all time WSOP money list. Thats incredible considering the 12 mil$ prizes people are cashing today. He is 4rth all the all time poker tournament winnings list. He was #1 until the prizes went through the roof. I counted 38 WSOP Final tables!

7) Joseph Hachem - Joseph Hachem has proved to be one of the top players in the world. He makes our top ten list by acomplishing incredible results in tournament poker. In in 2005 WSOP main event, he placed first place winning $7,500,000.
He did that in a field of 5618 players. The reason he is on this top ten list is not that but what he has done in addition to that. In the 10k championship event WSOP curcuit in november after the WSOP he finished 5th. In the 2006 WSOP he made 2 more final tables and took huge bad beats when he lost. He finished 4 times in the money in 2006 WSOP. Then to follow it p he won $2,200,000 by winning a 583 entry WPT event!

8) Phil Ivey - Too many too mention! In the 2002 WSOP, Phil Ivey won 3 bracelets and made 5 Final tables. In addition he had 2 more high money finishes that WSOP season. He has 6 WPT final tables since then combined with more bracelets and deep runs into the WSOP main event. In the 2003 Main event, Chris Moneymaker rivered him to top his 9's full and Chris made q's full!

9) Allen Cunningham - In 2001 WSOP Allen Cunningham had 1 Bracelet, and 2 more Final tables, and one more cash. In 2002 WSOP, he had 1 Bracelet, 2 more final tables, and 2 more cashes. In 2003 he had a 2nd place in WSOP 2-7 Draw, and a tenth place. In 2005 he was WSOP player of the year, 1 bracelet, and 3 more final tables. In 2006, he won yet another bracelet, and 2 more final tables, one of which was 4rth place in a field of 8773 players winning 3.6mil. Unreal!

10) Chris "Jesus" Ferguson - In the last five years Chris "Jesus" Ferguson has made it to more final tables, cashed (a whopping 24times), and won more events than any other player has in the last 10!

Notable Mention: Dan Harrington- In 1995 he won the WSOP main event and won one other bracelet. In 2003 and 2004 he finished 3rd of 839 and in 2004 he placed 4th of 2576 in the WSOP main event!

Notable Mention: Chris Bigler - Back to back 2nd places in the Profesional Poker Tour. What makes this great is that he had to beat "qualified entries" to do this. To gather chips in this tourny you have to take them from the best players in the world unlike WSOP or WPT tournies where anyone can enter!

Notable Mention: John Juanda - John Juanda has an amazing 8 WPT final tables, One Braclet, and one Professional Poker Tour Title! Keep in mind just becuase he wasn't on TV for some WPT's does't mean he didn't make the final table since only the top 6 are on TV.

Notable Mention: Gus Hansen - Gus Hansen's WPT results are remarkable. He has 6 Final tables, 3 First Place WPT (not including the bad boys of poker), and in Jan. 2007 he took down a Auzzie Millions winning over 1 Mil. US.

Notable Mention: Jeff Madsen - At just 21 years old Jeff Madsen won 2 WSOP bracelets and made a total of 4 final tables in the 2006 WSOP. Hes not a one time wonder either, he finished 8th in 2007 in a WPT event earning him 100k.
